  • International Company (listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange) is looking for a Documentum Software Engineer/Developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Rotating work between Midrand, Menlyn, Rosslyn and the home office.

  • Maintenance/development and support tasks for the Enterprise Content Management solution.
  • OpenText – Documentum (including Documentum Server, JMS, TCS, IDS, CTS, Thumbnail, CS4SAP, Xplore).
  • Analyze the future cloud-based document management solution for the Group.
  • Create reference architectures for these solutions and perform proof of concepts.
  • To a lesser extent, it is also necessary to analyze the logic and functionality of jar and dar files, jobs and workflows in order to solve complex requirements and/or problems.
  • Documentum roles and rights model.
  • Awareness of the agile roles defined in the environment.
  • Maintain high sensitivity to user needs regarding document management requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of underlying business infrastructure master solutions, eg Unix, Storage. Interact with other IT architects as needed to ensure adequacy of infrastructure solutions.
  • Understand and integrate all relevant Group IT security guidelines.
  • Maintain contact with software vendors and perform software testing as needed to ensure informed decisions regarding future architecture and strategies.
  • Provide or take charge of all IT documentation necessary for the company, for example, the main solution (external and internal view), the maintenance manual, the IT security concept.

Terms:

  • Matric plus relevant IT degree/diploma.
  • Professional experience of at least 5 years in a similar position.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise content management solutions, particularly Documentum 16.4 and later.
  • Experience in management and/or maintenance of IT infrastructure / 3rd level support.
  • Extensive experience with Linux Server.
  • Experience in computer architectures based on the Unix/Linux operating system.
  • Skills in programming/scripting, etc.
  • Experience with databases (Oracle / PostgreSQL) advantage.
  • Experience with the benefits of storage systems (NAS/SAN).
  • Willing to deal with customers. In most cases, these will be foreign clients and language barriers may exist.
  • Willing and able to work weekends and holidays.

Technical skills required (must have):• Good knowledge of Documentum.

  • Document interface technologies (DFC, WDK, REST)
  • Integration of Linux applications (SLES, NAS, SAN, shell, security and systems management)

  • Encryption technologies
  • Knowledge of IT security requirements for enterprise IT solutions
  • Cloud IaaS technologies (AWS and Azure)
  • Basic knowledge of the following:
  • Windows server administration
  • Application Server (Payara)
  • Business process requiring document management
  • Java
  • document composer
  • ATC development toolchain (Bitbucket, Jenkins)
  • ITSM – BMC Remedy ticketing tool.
  • Automation process.
  • Perform all tasks in a 100% agile manner according to the agile guidelines agreed by the department.
