The NFL offseason is well underway. The dust has settled from free agency and the NFL Draft, and teams are now back on the field, participating in mandatory minicamps this week.
Even though training camps are still almost two months away, and the start of the NFL season is almost three months away, a lot of attention this week is being paid to season win totals. That’s because by this point, much of the NFL’s rosters are in place and set, and with the NFL schedule released as well, it’s easier to break down actual predictions for the year ahead.
Below are some of the most attractive NFL win totals bets that many people are looking at.
Philadelphia Eagles Over 9 Wins (-145)
Last season, the Philadelphia Eagles finished the season with exactly 9 wins (9-8). Their overall record was somewhat of a surprise, considering many pundits believed they were a few years off from actually competing.
But, young quarterback Jalen Hurts made some strides and rookie wide receiver Devonta Smith had a nice debut season. Then, this offseason, they added some firepower all over the roster.
On defense, they added cornerback James Bradberry and edge Haason Reddick in free agency, along with University of Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis and linebacker Nakobe Dean in the draft. Their biggest offseason splash, though, was adding star wide receiver A.J. Brown via draft day trade with the Tennessee Titans.
San Francisco 49ers Under 10 Wins (-110)
The 49ers are another team whose current win total equals the number of wins they had last season (10-7). At first glance, you may look at that as somewhat of a surprise.
While they play in a tough division with the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals — both of whom look strong once again entering the season — they’re also pitted with the Seattle Seahawks, who are undergoing a rebuild.
The big thing that stands out to many bettors is that the 49ers currently have an uncertain situation with their quarterback. While Jimmy Garoppolo is currently penciled in as the starter, he’s likely to not even be on the roster when the season starts.
New York Jets Over 5.5 Wins
The Jets and Atlanta Falcons have the NFL’s lowest win total, both at 5.5. The Jets would need to improve by two wins over last year’s 4-13 mark to beat this number, but bettors around the country are putting their money down and saying they think it’ll happen. In fact, this is the most bet NFL win total thus far.
So, why are bettors thinking this way? First, many expect second-year quarterback Zach Wilson — the #2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft — to make some serious strides in his second year.
In addition, the Jets had one of the best drafts in the league, according to many experts, adding cornerback Ahmad Gardner, edge rusher Jermaine Johnson II and wide receiver Garrett Wilson in the first round, and running back Breece Hall in the second round.
If they can somehow pull out a few wins there and keep their confidence up, they could be able to eclipse their win total with the easier schedule toward the end of the season.
