After a long stretch of prohibition, in the 1980s Kansas began to legalize gambling. As for now, land-based Kansas City casinos are one of the ways people can gamble in the state without breaking the law. Poker, sports betting, bingo and the lottery are also common forms of legal gambling there. Unfortunately, online gambling in any form is still prohibited.
