Georgia Lottery

The man from Tallapoosa has scooped a big win from the Georgia Lottery just a few days after he accepted a new job. The lucky winner calls the week truly magical.

Good Week Got even Better

Joshua Holdbrooks, 34, has recently hit a $377,777 grand prize from the instant game Lady Luck 7. The man has accepted a new position of a mechanical contractor just 4 days before claiming the top prize at Georgia Lottery’s Atlanta headquarters on the 10th of July.

Holdbrooks was on his way home, when he felt thirsty, stopped at N Shop, 440 Newnan Road in Carrollton, and bought a winning ticket. The man hasn’t expected to walk out $377,777 richer. The first thing the winner did when he realized that he hit a big on the lottery was call to his father.

Interestingly, the Holdbrooks family has a history, related to the Georgia Lottery. Joshua’s wife, Meagan, graduated from West Georgia Technical College (LaGrange) with the HOPE Scholarship Program. The couple’s 5-year-old son took part in Georgia’s Pre-K Program. Both are funded by the Georgia Lottery Corporation.

The lucky winner said that he plans to use the win to pay off bills and start a college fund for 2 two sons.
