This BetMGM Poker app review looks into the different key areas of the BetMGM Poker mobile offering to showcase whether this is a good fit for most types of mobile poker players.
Mobile Cash Game & Tournaments
With the BetMGM mobile poker app, you have access to all of the cash games and tournaments that are a part of the desktop offering. Generally, the cash games for no-limit hold’em will have a good amount of players at any given time.
This is largely down to BetMGM Poker sharing a network with Borgata Poker and PartyPoker. From micro-stakes of $0.01/$0.02 all the way up to $10/$20 you will have no trouble finding games. When you move to higher stakes, you will largely be dealing with heads-up situations rather than large multi-tables.
There are other hold’em variants to choose from, as well as Omaha variants and a form of stud poker. The sit and gos offering is a bit underwhelming, with not a lot of people playing above the $5 entry mark.
Web App / Download App
When you want to play on the BetMGM Poker site through your mobile device, you have a couple of different options. You can download the BetMGM Poker iOS app or the BetMGM Poker Android app. These apps do not take up much room on your mobile devices and are quick to download.
You can download the BetMGM Poker iOS app from the poker site itself or through the iOS Store. For the BetMGM Poker Android app, you can only download it through the BetMGM Poker website.
These apps are well designed and is effectively a slimmed-down version of the desktop offering. The navigation system is very straightforward and you can access most of the features seen during games that are available as part of the desktop offering.
Mobile Bonus
While there is no BetMGM Poker bonus in place specifically for mobile players, you can still avail of the new customer offer that is available to all new sign ups at BetMGM Poker. This sees your first deposit of at least $10 being matched 100% up to a max bonus of $1,000. This bonus will be released in 10% increments, having to meet the x20 wagering requirement each time in order to release the bonus.
Do make sure that you make a deposit within 7 days of opening an account, or else you will lose out on receiving this bonus offer.
The second part of the deal is that you will get $15 in tournament dollars that can be used straight away. You will also get $10 worth of cash game play when you have earned at least one iReward point through your game play. This is a great welcome package, with you being hard-pressed finding a better offer in the space today.
