The MGM Grand Las Vegas is a hotel casino located along the Las Vegas Strip. By the number of rooms, it is the second largest hotel in the world, although it was deemed the largest when it first opened in 1993. It is, however still, the largest resort complex in the United States.
The large property holds a number of amenities such as a 30-floor main building, five outdoor pools, rivers, waterfalls covering about 6.6 acres of land, a convention center, the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the Grand Spa, retail shops, restaurants, night clubs, and the largest casino in Clark County which has a total of 171,500 square feet of gaming space.

The MGM Grand casino houses more than 2,500 working slot machines and 139 poker games and traditional table games. High limit slots are also available, with payouts that reach up to $500,000. The casino also features a race and sports book wagering area wherein players bet on different sports such as soccer, football, boxing, and MMA to name a few. The race and sports book betting area is surrounded with 36 60-inch plasma televisions and 24 42-inch plasma televisions. The MGM Grand is also the first to offer “SkyBoxes”, rooms that have its own beverage servers and complimentary food. These SkyBoxes can hold up to ten guests at a time.
